MATHS
QUARTERLY
WELCOME TO THE FIRST MATHS QUARTERLY PRESENTED BY THE MATHs CHANNEL

As the second noodle shop, most of Battersea’s menu designs were directly adapted from the existing designs of Shoreditch. But with a new restaurant comes new guests - and we wanted to make sure the children had some choices too.
We presented two routes for the children’s menu - a playful tiled version (a nod to both the tiles of BPS and the pixel art we often use), with a pixel art activity on the back, and a simple version with minimal graphics. The second route - originally without an activity sheet on the back, was developed to include a food measurement guide with illustrations, referencing old BAO menus at Soho and Fitz. This route later moved into the ideas graveyard, but the food measuring guide lives on - as a serving tray paper, for children only.
